Ed Cooney
Ed received his BBA in 1990 from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, where he also played on a nationally ranked baseball team. He attended graduate school for accounting at Stetson and subsequently the University of Colorado Banking School. Ed is a CPA and one of the founders of Atlanta Business Bank - now Affinity Bank - for which he currently serves as President. Ed has been involved in the banking industry for over 25 years. He got his start working at a CPA firm that specialized in banking. Ed has served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and Senior Loan Officer during his career. He is a member of the Community Bankers Association of Georgia Board. Ed thoroughly enjoys competing against the large regional banks and is the proud father of triplets. Ed also serves on the Advisory Board of Cure Childhood Cancer, an Atlanta based non-profit that is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through research, education and support of patients and their families. Additionally, Ed is a member of the Pankey Institute Board of Directors

Currently listening to? Disturbed (on the drive into the office each morning) and Lifehouse (for the drive home)

Chip Nelson

Chip Nelson earned his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He has been with Affinity Bank since March 2003. Chip began his banking career within the commercial lending division of SunTrust Bank of Atlanta immediately after graduation from Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Affinity Bank, Chip was employed by Community Trust Bank in Hiram, GA, as Senior Credit Officer. Chip maintains a loan portfolio as well as all duties related to Chief Credit Officer with the Bank. Chip is an avid sports fan. Prior to attending college later in life, he managed and then owned his own small business; a Sports Memorabilia store in metro Atlanta. Chip has been active in the community through the years and has coached several youth athletic teams. Chip lives with his wife and two children in Mableton, GA.

Brandi Pajot

Brandi earned both her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Masters in Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. She is also a CPA and has been with Affinity Bank since 2007. Brandi began her banking career 2000 and has experience with both community and correspondent banks. Brandi lives with her husband and two children in Sandy Springs, GA.

Liz Galazka

A veteran in the dental industry, Liz brings her 16 years of business office management experience from one of the leading cosmetic offices in the country to the Affinity Bank team. She has been trained extensively on relationship management at various seminars including the “Ritz-Carlton Customer Service,” Landmark Education Center, Fortune Practice, AACD, Pac-Live Academy and Excellence in Profitable Dentistry. She has lectured on topics such as Team Building, Communication and Day-to-Day Office Management. Liz is a client liaison for both the Dental & Medical Private Banking Divisions of Affinity Bank, and resides in Newnan with her husband. She enjoys traveling in her leisure time.

Do you have any pets? Wild Bird (cardinal) - Chirps.

What’s something that amazes you? Navy Seals. They are extraordinary individual. They give their body, soul, heart and life for our freedom.

Where is your favorite place to vacation/unwind? Open ocean in a private boat – (no sight of land)!

What is your favorite thing about Affinity Bank that makes us different? The people . . . The employees & clients both create a great environment!

In the movie of your life, what actor should play you? Kevin James – he could add some humor to my crazy life

What’s something that amazes you? Children! From birth, everything they do and how quickly they learn things (even how to press your buttons) is amazing!

Where’s your favorite place to take an out-of-town guest? Braves game, even more fun when they move to Cobb County

Currently watching? Depends on who is in control of the remote! Anything from Revolution to Peppa Pig depending if the kids are up
